Long gone are the days of residential streets lined with unique and custom-built houses of all shapes and sizes. Today we are accustomed to street upon street of houses that look almost exactly the same.
But while your house may look the same as everyone else's on the outside, there is no reason why you can't change the inside to reflect your own style and taste. One way to do this is to reface your kitchen cabinets.
When you ask people who hate their cabinetry why they leave their boring, regular cabinets the way they are, you're likely to hear, "I don't have the money to replace my cabinets." This is usually because they have not heard of kitchen cabinet refacing (as opposed to replacing).
What's the difference between refacing your cabinets and replacing them? Quite simply, refacing is replacing or refinishing all the parts of the cabinets that show. Replacing your cabinets involves removing the old ones and installing entirely new cabinetry. So if you live in a new home and/or your cabinets are still in good shape, why would you replace everything on them if all you want to do is change their look? Because refacing uses so much less material and takes less time than replacing your kitchen cabinets, it costs on average less than half of what it would to replace your cabinets.
When it comes to refacing your cabinets, you can choose from a vast variety of styles, materials, shapes, sizes, and finishes, to make your cabinets look exactly how you want them to. Be creative! It doesn't cost a lot to make your kitchen cabinets as unique and stylish as you are.
