Q.
I recently bought a home that has laminate countertops. They are old and gross. Is there any possible way to put new granite countertops over the existing ones? This would hold over until I could afford to put in solid granite in about 5 years. If this won’t work I am open to other ideas.
A: You can tile over the top as long as it is not a roll-edged , preformed top and it has edges that are square. Most times it works better to start fresh with a new piece of particle board.
